OMFGWTAF! Are these festering rotten scroatbags serious!?!? The first time I heard of this BS I thought – no way, they didn’t just drop that dam dirty bomb of distraction.

Well, after several hours to process, and do some online “research” – it seems this is a real event. They dropped the bombs and kill3d kids and teachers. KIDS AND TEACHERS!!
Then – more bombs. One twisted crackpot religious lunatic kill3d.
Then – our brave servicemen kill3d and our rotting puss-filled corpse of a potus praises statues and fukkin curtains… and when these brave service person’s, who had paid the ultimate price, bodies were returned home with honor, the hateful childrapistpotus did not remove his hat to honor the fallen – WTAF!!

But it just cant be reality…I must be fukkin dreaming. Nobody in this country would actually say something so incredibly lame…maybe from north Korea…or one of those other backward, greedy dicktater-led countries that do not seperate church and state like the USA does…or once did anyway…our founding fathers are spinning in their graves.

…but what about the constitution? Isnt that a binding…sacred…almost religious document? Now it seems that those who once preached to uphold the constitution at all cost, no matter what, no matter who dies…now those same people are just choosing to ignore it…WTAF!

Oh…and never mind the huge and in fukkin BOLD fact that we…our entire culture…has absolutely zero…ZERO…credible evidence – that ANY of the mystical gods, angels, and SO MUCH other random BS in the Bible and other evidence-lacking dusty ancient sacred books and all the words vomiting from the mouthpieces kings and clergy of the multitudes of religions and denominations – have ever even existed at all. In all logical likelihood the reality is this: all the stores in all the old religious books are simply lessons and myths to help ancient folks make sense of the world and culture around them. These old books are only reality inside the readers own head.

When I was young I was taught that in any important decision, one should put evidence first, and the decision second. The reverse of that is a decision without supporting evidence, and those who use this misguided strategy are in search of one of two things:

An emotional response possibly seated in a personal desire or need.

Or

Greed and control seeking hubris. Hubris is dangerous.

To make decisions without factual, logical, supporting evidence is insane.

It seems that these people – that some of us have chosen to place into power – are absolute fukkin deranged lunatics that should be locked securely in padded rooms.

For them to actually say the unbelievably and stupendously stupid things they have said about bringing about the “end times,” or “armageddon,” or whateverthefuk – with the most outrageous of them all that his orange painted magasty DJT was sent by jeezus/god et. all. – is totally and rabidly barking mad.

I still keep pinching myself hoping to wake up from this bizarre nightmare…but no, apparently I am awake and this IS reality.

So many human lives have been cut short, so many civilizations turned to vine or dust covered rubble, so much knowledge has been lost, destroyed by religiopolitical cult leaders claiming their way is better because they claim that an imaginary god figure said so – often through the mouthpiece of a fat, bloated, king, president, chief, or bigman…and even more bizarre and inexplicable – they followed the imaginary god/king’s made up commands and destroyed so many real and beautiful things that actually physically existed…and they did it all believing they were correct and in the name of their chosen leader or god that they could not even see worth their own eyes. Either they all were deranged lunatics, or greed and power mad driven charlatans with absolutely zero empathy predating upon their followers, or both of these things.

Sadly it seems history is repeating itself.

It seems that the dangerous cults of lunatic fringe religion are trying their best to bring back holy wars at the cost of…everything moving forward.

The toxic weight of the religious trauma this is going to instill into everyone who survives this mess will be immeasurable.

Speaking of religious trauma – for the first few decades of my life I was traumatized by the religion i was born into – Christianity. From a very early age I was confused by all the bizarre talk of loving each other, taking care of others, including the weak, the old, the poor, the homeless, the immigrant. ..but then, quickly followed by and absolutely terrifying to a young child – follow my invisible all powerful sky dwelling God, or burn in hell, suffer horrifying end times BS, Jesus this and Jesus that, the heaven and hell, fire and brimstone, rivers of blood, multiheaded beasts, 666, demons, devils, nostradomous, nukes, the cold war, yada, yada, yada. Even while writing these words I still feel the anxiety welling up inside me – but I know this is not a god or devil pulling my strings…it is the constant programming I received from the church, my culture, my (well meaning) parents and family who were also under the spell of all the religiopolitical madness. All of it that still to this day causes a PRSD type reaction in my mind. All this twisted mystical hate and fear filled BS really traumatized my young brain and truly wrecked my evidence based decision-making process…for many years.

The only way I was ever able to dig myself out of the mind killing grave that was that twisted religious death worshipping religiopolitical cult, was to remember what my amazing mom taught me about evidence supported decision making and critical thinking. Without evidence supported critical thinking skills, you will fall for and follow anyone and anything that promises paradise. My mom was also a teacher, she encouraged me to read and learn about anything that interested me, and she supplied books, frequent trips to the public library, and the power of the acquisition of factual knowledge. Through her I learned that knowledge conquers fear.

This is why I choose to not follow any religion. This is why I choose to follow the evidence wherever it leads and use the methods and tools of science and my own brain to make decisions for myself and others.

The only “religion” I respect is Buddhism – and its not even a religion, its a practice based on peace, kindness, compassion, and self discovery.

In my experience, most modern religions very rarely use evidence to support their decision making process…but dusty old words from an ancient book, written and rewritten by countless bloated kings and authors, and then taken far outside of their historical context…sure, why not. In fact, it is often the exact opposite, with the evidence from the last 2026 years suggesting that more blood has been shed in the name of religions than in all wars ever waged on planet earth. The rivers of blood have already been shed and if there is an actual hell, we are now living in it and DJT and his mindless minions are the devil and his demons.

These people are absolutely fukkin insane.

Examples: 911 and Iran – so many parallels between the radical islamic terrorists who attacked the WTC and Pentagon, and the lunatic fringe chrustofascist malignant morons now pulling the strings of yet more bloody oil wars in the middle east.

Oh, let us not forget the E. Files. Remember all the violat3d young girls, women, boys and men, the redrum and kanabilism, the pain, the endless lies, and the disgusting fear mongering and toxic racist h8. If there ever was an antichrist, the vile potus and his demented lunatics running this once great land are the embodiment of that mythical sentiment.

But all that is just my humble evidence-supported opinion.

Religiopolitical Trauma Sucks – aka Knowledge Conquers Fear

After several decades of study, observation, and introspection, and looking at all the avaliable evidence and lack therof, I am, by my own choice, a religious agnostic and a peaceful, apolitical, human being.

However, I will use any means at my disposal – sticks, rocks, guns, germs, or steel – and maybe even venomous snakes – to protect the ones I love as well as all peaceful innocents – no matter their age, sex, orientation, ethnicity, religion, or lack therof.

Example: If a tiger tries to eat you, you frighten off, defend yourself, or end the tiger’s life. ( I love tigers, but if one was about to take me out – I would have no choice but to choose my life over the tiger’s.)

Similarly, if a predatory human tries to harm you, you choose to defend yourself…or you suffer and die and the predatory humans win, breed, and train their offspring to be more predatory humans. That strategy serves to help noone but the predatory humans.

My decisions and choices are mine alone. They did not arise out of superstition or support of some narrow ancient controlling religious dogma, or toxically bent political party or ideal, but fully out of pure love for my family and friends and evidence-supported logic.

Sadly, the events of the first few weeks of 2026 suggest that a growing number of highly dangerous predatory humans are attempting to take control of this country – and the world – by force, by lies, by intimidation, bullying, and even the murder of innocent people – by hate and huge piles of propaganda and FUD.

Evidence suggests that these people, that we the people have chosen to represent we the people, are as horribly bent, twisted, and deranged as all the evidence seems to suggest that they are – especially the fact that they themselves have intentionally suppressed and redacted evidence, and have constantly and consistantly rapid fire lied directly to all of our faces – every time they open their filthy little hateful mouths.

In fact, it is even worse than we ever thought possible. They are disgustingly twisted, triggerhappy, bloodthirsty, and have zero compassion, empathy, or one single shread of honor, and it is blatantly obvious that they do not care about human lives or this once great country – all they care about is themselves and how much money, power, and control they can amass and unleash upon the world. IMO, if these monsterous people had their way, they would repeatedly and aggressively force their rotten festering thalus down the throats and up every orifice of each and every one of us until we expired. They are the definition of monsters.

What then do our choices say about those of us who consciously (or maybe unconsciously) chose to place these horribly bent and twisted, bloodthirsty, sexually deviant, sleazy scumbags in so many places of great power?

What is blatantly obvious to me is that we the people have made a HUGE and terrifying mistake.

It is time to own up to the reality of that mistake and start working to set things right.

To those who make excuses and toss out lie after lie, while trying to defend and even protect these disgusting evil trolls, why can you not accept the evidence and facts?

This is not a damn football game. You are not required to support your team at all costs, just because you or your family has always done it that way. That way of thinking is in no way productive and in fact, it is a highly destructive and harmful way to use your brain…or to not use it.

This is the hard reality of this situation: these people at the top of – almost everything that makes everything work in this world – they are greed and power driven, disgusting, pedophilic, predatory, monsterously evil animals that also just happen to be human. They do not care about you, your spouse, your son or daughter*, your home, your farm, your cars and trucks, your health, your land, your sweet grandmother, or your chosen god or lack therof. They do not care about veterans, the military, the elderly, the arts, science, or reality, they do not care about anyone or anything but themselves. *if they could find a way, they would kidnap your children, lock them away on a private island fortress, and defile them at their leisure at night, then by day spin rapid-fire lie after lie on live television about how much good they are doing for the country while waving flags and bibles.

What a disgusting cadre of horrible monstrous humans this twisted cult has spawned.

We the people need to wake up from whatever misguided cultish dreamstate we are all in, and take back our country and our freedom from those vile gangsters trying to destroy it to enrichen themselves, further their own twisted agendas, and have their way with our stolen children.

Whatever this festering pestilence is, it is deeply rooted, twisted like toxic tentacles throughout our government, the honorable offices of the military, the sacred worship halls of religion, business/wall street, Hollywood, entertainment, music, energy, trade, international relations, and more than likely – all aspects of our society.

This is not about political parties, sides, fences, wings, crosses, scrolls, bibles, books and flags – this is about the reality of what is really happening to us, to our families, friends, neighbors – and all those missing innocent children whose faces are on milk cartons and social media sites.

More and more evidence suggests that this is a sickeningly dark and deeply twisted, hate and fear-driven, toxicly-tribaliastic, highly malignant disgustingly deviant s3x cult that goes far deeper than one quickly fading dirty old man and his rotten to the core hateful friends.

If the full scope of this malignant infection is ever revealed, I predict that it will connect so many people, many that all of us collectively hold in high regard, that it will shake our country to its core…and possibly collapse our society for a time until it can be rebuilt from the bottom up…and that in fact, may be the only way we Americans will be able to survive this.

A growing fear I have is Armageddon. Not the one in the Bible, but the one that could be unleashed if the cult leaders feel threatened, if they see no way out. These madmen have access to the entire nuclear arsenal of the United States and I fear that they may use it as a way out of prosecution. I hope I am wrong but ever since “agent orange” took control a decade ago I have been concerned about this possibility. Give a bully a weapon and they will search for any chance to use it.
I hope I am wrong.

It is obvious now that one of the keys to opening this sickening Pandora’s box of lies, deceit, hate, fear, greed, control, pedophilia and cold blooded redrum – are the Epstien files.

If those in control and power do not have the courage to release the ENTIRETY of the INTACT AND UNEDITED FILES, they are either having their lives threatened by the cult and/or their own rotten names must in fact be IN the files.

Release ALL of the INTACT files!!!

Something I wrote a little over 5 years ago…and it is even more relevant today.

I have not had this deep of a feeling of dread since 911 when radicalized religious terrorists killed thousands of innocents with hijacked airplanes.

Sadly today, it seems it is us – US. WTF!
The threat is not from outside, it is from inside.

Again – WTAF!

Mr. trump sir, as prime instigator, racist-terrorist-in-chief, bully-incubating, tantrum-tweeting, conspiracy-dreaming, deranged puppet master, – you have yet again crossed the line. You now have the freshly flowing blood of innocents and the warm blood of the heart of our once great democracy soaking your already deeply blood and viral stained tiny hands. You sir, are a moron and a complete and total disgrace to what it means to be an American.

These are radicalized Americans. WTAF!!

I cannot understand how some of our own have developed such a twisted, misguided, wrongful, idea of freedom.

Your robotic, hate, fear, and doubt spouting, gun, flag and bible waving, goose-stepping, bully-perpetrators are the lowest of the lowest form of humanity. They are disgusting, domestic terrorists who cannot accept reality/facts/science/math and who, at your direction, are attacking, defacing, and disrespecting law and order, harming and murdering innocent people in cold blood, and damaging/destroying public/government property. They, and you, should all be swiftly thrown under the jail and left there to rot for a very long time.

Heavy Thought Time

To create a life is rather easy, people do it all the time.

To create good people, that is possibly the most difficult thing we will ever do.

We have all heard about the nature vs nurture debate, and from where I stand as an observer of nature, I see many deep connections between all living things everywhere I look – connections that run like fungal mycelium throughout the deep-time tapestry of life.

These ancient genetic connections are incredibly apparent to me because I see them in myself. I was adopted as a newborn and spent the next several decades with wonderful, loving parents who nurtured and cared for me, giving me a comfortable home, an education, and most of all, the ability to think for myself. They let me choose my own path – they did not force on me any specific religion, politics, or any other worldviews – they let me choose for myself who I was to become. They were the nurture side of the coin that I received in this coin toss called life.

On the nature side of the coin: From a very young age, my curiosity about the natural world around me was incredibly strong. I have always had a deep empathetic nature and a deep connection to animals, nature, wildlife, and the silent teachers that exists in the forest, an endlessly flowing river, the rolling ocean waves, and the deeptime knowledge that exists in every rock, tree, mountain, water drop, and in our own DNA – these are teachers that only some of us can hear.  Due to these deep connections to the natural world I always wondered if I had inherited this intense love and focus on nature from my biological family.

Then, in 2018, I used the tools of science to find my genetic family and my suspicions were confirmed – my love of nature was indeed genetic – my father and all my family members were great lovers of nature and all things wild and wonderful. My father and I shared so many things in common – even down to things like favorite foods, TV shows, music, vehicles, wildlife, it is really astounding how many deep connections we share.

So for me specifically, the nature vs nurture argument is no longer a debate – i am a product of both of these things.

From my point of view, and from my lived experience – I believe that at birth we carry within our genetic code, a singular sequence specifically written by the experiences of our parents, grandparents, great grandparents and far far back into deeptime, to a time before we gave ourselves names, before we harnessed fire, before we were even human. This ancient code sequence is the nature side of the coin. It is a hard written instinct stamped into our DNA by the experiences of all our ancestors. This ancient code is expressed,  like it or not, by our consciousness.  But what the heck is consciousness anyway?

In an attempt to answer this age old question we need to flip the coin back over to the nurture side again and ask – what about our consciousness?  Where does it come from?  What is it that allows us to look in the mirror and say “Hello me, i recognize that i exist…i think therefore i am.” 

Where does the consciousness  originate?  Some say it is all in the mind…and maybe this is so.  However, I sometimes wonder if it comes from outside the body…another realm of existence that we have yet to identify.  Maybe we and all life on earth are part of this unique and massive energy field…this Singularity…and we are greatly limiting ourselves when we think that we are separate, apart, alone individuals.  But in reality…a reality we have not discovered yet because we are not yet ready, not evolved enough to experience that reality and understand it…maybe we are all connected deeper than we could ever imagine.  Maybe when our body exhausts itself and ceases to exist, maybe our unique consciousness – our soul – retreats back into this unknown realm, this undiscovered country, to rejoin with the rest of the whole where it then shares its lifetime of experiences with its “peers” afterwhich it is reset, and then born again as another lifeform on earth…or another planet in the vast cosmos – and the cycle continues.

I do not believe in omnipotent beings – a god or gods – and therefore i do not believe a devine creator being gives us each a unique consciousness – at soul – at birth.  I have this hypothesis that at birth, our consciousness is a blank clean slate…like a new computer waiting to have is blank but eager to learn storage drives filled up with all our unique photos, music, stories, history – the unique things we save close to our hearts and minds – the things that make us, us.

Maybe we are all born with this same basic, “blank slate” consciousness.  Maybe this blank slate consciousness is exactly the same for everyone – it is a carbon copy of whatever the first one was, whatever the first human being was.  Then, as we live and grow and are exposed to our family, friends, society, the media, religion, politics, science, culture, war, love, hate, bullies, hippies, laughter, passion, sickness, trauma, etc – maybe it is only after this exposure to all these unique outside experiences and influences, coupled with the genetic expression of our instinctual nature knowledge passed down from our unique evolutionary lineages, does our unique consciousness truly becomes ours, and only ours.  It becomes unique to each human due to the unique experiences each of us has experienced as well as the deep genetic connections we brought forward in time from our unique ancestrial DNA.

Maybe the “me” and “you” parts of our thinking brains are exactly the same until they experience life, the universe, and everything around us during our first few years of life – and then we become the unique individuals that we are – we become the you and the me that we see in the mirror.

If all this is so, then to guide an innocent young human into adulthood as a parent, teacher, or mentor, is possibly the greatest responsibility one could ever hold.

Choose wisely.

Think before you speak.

Be a good human.

Do good things.

Another Thought Experiment

If a highly advanced, long-lived, extraterrestrial species from another galaxy landed on Earth today and told us we were all part of a long-term planetary biology/evolution “lab” experiment designed and implemented several million years ago in the attempt to discern the direction biological evolution would take under the unique environmental conditions offered by this planet and its star…

…and/or…

If Jesus (or any other religious prophet) returned and/or appeared – and he was a dark skinned, barefoot, long haired, “herb” smoking, robe wearing, bisexual, “hippie” “dude” whose pronown was “whatever man” and he was asking all of us to destroy our walls, weapons, governments, religions, superficial labels and divisions, and all coexist and live in harmony…

Recent events suggest that many people who call themselves religious would probably deny the flesh and blood evidence standing in front of them, and cry “demon,” “witch,” ” infidel,” “imposter,” – and then try to crucify and/or dissect them.


Sadly, the fearful, preconceived notions of what many believe their god and/or extraterrestrial visitors should be are far too limiting and microscopically small, to allow them to see the grandeur of the cosmos as it actually exists, and all the amazing possibilities it may hold.

We are our own most limiting factor.

Your 3rd eye is watching you

Some of us have the rare ability to look ourselves in the mirror and reflect on our choices, make changes, look at the past as a learning experience and never do it again, and then go on with life.


Some do not have that ability and need help from those who do.


All of us need to forcefully pry open our third eye to see the violence inherent in the system, step outside of it, and see the religiopolitical matrix for what it really is: a manufactured control machine designed to keep us down by any and all means, so the dangerous, mean, rich and powerful – and those dumb as a bag of steaming fresh scat – remain in control behind the curtains pulling the strings and collecting the wealth while the rest of us scratch, scrape, and slurp to get by in this manufactured automaton we call a society.

IMHO: The possible reason the highly superior extraterrestrials from distant star system(s) have not revealed themselves to us is simple:
We have not passed the most important test of our biological evolution.
We have yet to grow beyond our infantile, tantrum-tossing childhood.
To grow and evolve into an adult, aware, and awake species, we must abandon and delete from our time twisted genetic programming, all the fear-driven, self destructive, xenophobic, hateful, self centered, greed and power focused ways of thinking and living such as but not limited to – separatist, divisive religions, toxic politics, bloody war, insane slavery, juvenile prejudice, caste systems, medical and prison industrial complexes, the burning of finite fossil fuels for energy and their associated land, water, and air pollution, resource wars, habitat destruction and so much more of the fear and greed focused genes still stuck in our DNA that feeds these ancient toxic behaviors. They worked for us in the dark past of our early ancestors, but evidence suggests they do not have a place in our genetic code any longer.
Now is the time we must choose not to fear and fight, but to respect and coexist with each other.
This will not happen anytime soon, and possibly never. Current events suggest we may forever remain infants in our development as a species.
We may be just another failed evolutionary experiment…or a virus that just has to run its course before the planet can heal and make room for the next attempt at something unique.
No matter what the case may be, I know that what we are doing to ourselves, to each other, and to the planet that supports us – cannot end well unless we all work together to repair the heinous damage to the system, delete the current systemic infection, and strive to learn from the mistakes of our childhood, and never ever repeat them again.
Consciously choose to do good things.

Random Thought

If you discovered that someone you love, revere, worship, follow, respect, and/or care deeply about… was a disgusting, twisted, hateful, pedophile, and/or was protecting a pedophile/human trafficker – would you keep loving, respecting, and supporting them?
HELL NO!!!!!
You would put them in the tightest security prison you could find and let the inmates take them apart – twistedly toxic piece by disgustingly disturbingly rotten piece. They would deserve everything they received – and then some.
I have a bad feeling that many people in very high and influential places, in this place we once called a country, in political, religious, entertainment and so many other institutions – are on the list.
When it is finally revealed, it will shatter this country even more.
But it must be revealed.
The evidence must be made public.
It is the right thing to do.
No matter what side of the imaginary fence you are on, no matter which wing of the once great balding bird that you think you are – the truth should matter above all other concerns. If it doesn’t, then you are part of the problem.
If you have children or grandchildren, what will they think of you if you support such disgustingly despicable and absolutely evil people? What kind of people will they become by watching you make your choices?
Don’t support disgusting, hateful, greedy, nasty, destructive people who choose to use others for their own gain and the loathsome fulfillment of their toxically twisted desires.

Hurricane Helene and now just a few months later – this terrible flood in Texas.

This is yet another horrible and avoidable tragedy.
Please do all in your power to help those in need.


Shifting gears a bit –
Here’s the thing: when I was in college, I learned from my professors, and from my own research in the campus library and online, all about anthropogenic climate change/global warming or whatever you choose to call it. I learned why it is happening, I looked at all the evidence, and all these data, evidence, and facts, they needed no support – they stood alone. It was so obviously real that it made it past my logic and reason filters – and guess what, I understood and accepted it all as peer-reviewed reality.

Here’s the other thing: everything all those scientists (NASA, NOAA, NWS, etc, and all the independent scientists all over the planet studying the issue said would happen – is now coming to pass- heck it has been happening for decades.

I have watched as the climate has noticeably warmed – we didn’t need fans in our home until the mid 1990’s, or air conditioning until 2010 – and now, when the HVAC fails (due to the storms, power outages, etc.), all the floor and ceiling fans and our bodies own built-in cooling systems (sweat glands) can barely keep us from dangerously overheating.

The sea level has visibly risen on the beaches I have been visiting over the last 50+ years of my life.

The once frequent snows of “winter” have turned into cool and sometimes even warm rains…or super-concentrated cold spells – aka Polar Vortexes…vortices? – that have been colder than any cold I can remember.

I have watched springs and creeks dry up and trees die due to the unusually long periods of heat-induced drought.

Almost every year, I have witnessed more frequent and intense wildfires, as well as the unbelievable air pollution the fires bring.

Then there are the hurricanes – (Andrew, Katrina, Harvey, Helene!!!) – more and more powerful every season, more and more rain, wind, destruction.

We then have the wildlife species that never lived in my region, migrating into the wilds near my home – some examples include but are not limited to: the Coyote (the earliest to arrive), the Nine-banded armadillo, Fire ants, Bedbugs, mosquitoes, ticks, and, needless to say, many different nasty diseases – two of these are tick-vectored diseases that I have contracted and still suffer symptoms from – Rocky Mountain Spotted fever and Ehrlichia.

Anthropogenic climate change is an evidence-supported, peer-reviewed fact.

If you choose to not believe me or the thousands of climate scientists and researchers, then just watch and/or read the horrific headlines from the climate change-induced/exacerbated storms, floods, heatwaves, droughts, polar vertices, wildfires, toxic air and water pollution, sea level rise, etc, etc.

Or just walk yourself outside and wait a while.

This climate change thing is not a political plot or ploy to make the Democrats, “leftists” and “greenies” rich, that is ridiculous and you know it. Nor is this some sort of scam cooked up by “the Chinese” – this shit is real so please just keep your political (and religious) BS out of the important business of discovering the impacts of our species on the the evidence-supported peer-reviewed findings and facts of the natural world and its systems that support us all.

But even if still choose to ignore the evidence, the science, and the new reality of the dangerous situation we have made for ourselves by burning copious amounts of fossil fuels over the last few hundred years – say what you will and believe what and who you choose…but your belief in something or someone does not make your choice a fact – unless it has the evidence to back it up.

Like Evolution by Natural Selection, Climate Change has mountains of supportive peer-reviewed evidence. If you choose to not believe all these mountains of evidence, from all over the planet and even satellites orbiting in space…then all I can say to you is buckle up buttercup, and “enjoy” the ride because we are all riding on this crazy train of life together. There is nowhere to run, nowhere to hide and the cold beauty that some call mother nature is as mad as hell at the dumbass “thinking” ape clan for fukin up the planet – and I fear this is only the beginning and there is going to be some serious hell to pay.

Please remember – nature does not give one single hot puckered rodent arse about any of us, so you better learn how to take care of yourself. Be ready. Stay vigilant. Be prepared. And above all, do good things to help others in need around you, because we are all riders on the same 4.5 billion-year-old planetary boat afloat in the vast ocean of space and time.

Ancient Clues

The more I learn about archeology and anthropology, the more I discover that primates and violence seem to go hand in hand.

Sadly, this fact, encoded in our DNA, and in the DNA of every human walking the earth today going all the way back to our humble beginnings on the African savanna – is a deepset part our our own evolutionary history.


It may be that our unique primate opposable thumb+big “thinking” brain combination – while an incredible engineering and survival tool kit – has a great and fatal flaw.
That great flaw often leads us to believe things and then do things, not because they are true and supported by evidence, but because we want them to be true, we need them to be true, possibly to satisfy some ancient need, or qwell a fear that exists only in the past. Sadly, it seems that for many Modern humans, believing something is true is easier than working to find out if it really is true.

This great and fatal flaw may in fact be the undoing of our species, leaving us as just another fossilized animal deposit in the rock strata of deep time.

Honestly, I hope I am wrong on this, but the evidence from the last few hundred decades suggests otherwise.
Looking at the fossil record of our family tree we see that every single one, every one – every early human save for us, only exists, no longer in the flesh, but as ancient fossil remains recorded in the rocks. May it be that these ancestors of ours are extinct by their own hand?
Maybe the fatal flaw was their downfall?
Maybe the fatal flaw will render us extinct as it may have done for them? I hope not. We have so much potential.

Or maybe it was their strong, evolutionary survival instinct that lead to a hyper-selfish focus on surviving which, over time, selected for early humans with a lack of empathy – with only a drive and focus to acquire that which it needed to survive while pushing its own kind out of the way. Millions of years ago it was competition for food and brute strength that kept the bullies alive.

Today, it’s not food, it’s money and power thry need. The vestigial fatal flaw is directing the uncaring bullies to compete.  In their minds, they are still fighting to survive – it is all their DNA will allow them to do. Instead of adapting to adopt an empathetic sharing nature that would benefit all members of their family, and species – they chose self over society.

Empathy, is one of the most important aspects of what it means to be human. Without empathy for others of your kind, you are just another smart, strong, competitive predator. Maybe it is empathy that is the answer, maybe it is the genetic key that unlocks the next level in our own evolution.

Will we level up…or will we damn dirty apes choose to fearfully continue to bar our teeth and bash  each other’s skulls in just as so many countless human primates stretching back millions of years into the past have done before?

Only time and the rocks will tell.
